CLASSROOM LIGHTING
Action to improve the classroom lighting at Christchurch Girls’ High School will be urged on the Department of Education by the school’s board of governors. At a meeting of the board last evening the principal (Miss J. D. Prisk) reported that the school electrical system was overloaded. It would be very expensive to rectify, even temporarily. The secretary (Mr P. J. Halligan) said that the department already had information about the classroom lighting. He was asked to press the department for action. 1
