Turkey dinner About 100 frozen turkeys will be used for the traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner for Americans at Christchurch Airport and at stations in the Antarctic on Thursday. For most Americans Thankgiving Day is a national holiday, but apart from the special dinner scientists and servicemen in the Antarctic continent will have a working day. Antarctic priests Two New Zealand priests will go to Antactica for short periods this summer to conduct services for Roman Catholic servicemen and scientists. Father P. Crawford will go south on December 20 and Father G. Creagh, of Holy Cross Church, will go on Februaiy 5. Both men will conduct sei vices at McMurdo, Byrd and the Amundsen-Scott South Pole stations. T. Sussex) chaired his last meeting of the board this week after serving in the position for the last 14 years. He will leave his post as professor of modem languages: at the University of Canterbury to take up a similar post at the James Cook University of North Queensland late in January.
