Well back early, and still tenth of 11 runners at the turn, Piko finished a handy seventh, only three lengths and a half from the winner, Constant Rhythm. New Zealand-breds finished first, second and third in the Henley Handicap (nine furlongs and 80 yards) for three-yearolds. Achieving (Bourbon Prince—Hot Wave), ran home strongly to win by three-quarters of a length. Second was Kimberlite (Test Case—Gem) with Prince Vakeel (Lionheart—Killery Bay) a short neck away third.
