Piko comes seventh
(N.Z. Press Assn.—-Copyright) «, s. SYDNEY. Piko showed a glimpse of form at Canterbury on Saturday when he came home encouragingly in the six furlongs Gladesville Flying Handicap. Well back early, and still tenth of 11 runners at the turn, Piko finished a handy seventh, only three lengths and a half from the winner, Constant Rhythm. New Zealand-breds finished first, second and third in the Henley Handicap (nine furlongs and 80 yards) for three-yearolds. Achieving (Bourbon Prince—Hot Wave), ran home strongly to win by three-quarters of a length. Second was Kimberlite (Test Case—Gem) with Prince Vakeel (Lionheart—Killery Bay) a short neck away third.
