Boy’s body found
(N.Z. Press Association) WAIROA, Nov. 22. The body of a nine-year-old boy was recovered from the Wairoa River about 3 p.m. today, almost 24 hours after he vanished in a boating mishap. The dead bpy was Milton Darryl Te Aho, the son of Mr and Mrs K. Te Aho, of Wairoa. Police said the boy was playing with his brother and another youth in a homemade boat about 100 yards from the river bank. The craft began to take in water, and during efforts to bail it out the dead boy fell into the river. , The other boys managed to reach shore and raise the alarm. A boat went out to where the accident occurred shortly after but could find no trace of the missing boy.
