Meeting house destroyed

(N.Z. press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, • ' . Nov. 22. Fire destroyed the Puranga Maori meeting house near Fpxton this afternoon, but the caryings, old photographs, and wall-mattings from the building were saved by .firemen from the Foxton and Foxton i Beach brigades. A water ' shortage hampered the firemen and, although two tankers from a dairy factory helped out, the brigades were unable to save the building. An electrical fault is thought to have been the cause.
