Hit-and-run accident
The police last evening interviewed a man about a hit-and-run accident in Montreal Street on Thursday evening. The man injured in the accident, Donald Francis Hewinson, aged 35, of 433 Hills Road, Marshland, was still in a fair conditidn at Christchurch Hospital last evening, but there had been a slight improvement. Mr Hewinson was knocked from his power-cycle and dragged about 50 yards by a car.
