Flipper well
! Flipper is rapidly rounding : into shape again under the {direction of R. B. Taggart at Riccarton. Last season Flipper from six starts won three races and was once second but it was his win in the mile and a halt Autumn Handicap at Riccarton last Easter which drew attention to his bright prospects off reaching top form as a stayer. Flipper has not raced since he unwound that terrific run on the turn after having been tailed off early. At that stage Flipper did not look a very strong gelding but after a spell he has improved in this direction, and he is in fine, robust health at present. Flipper did his early racing from the stable of H. J. Waller at Awapuni, from where he won a two-year-old maiden event at Foxton. At three he was raced by his present owner, Mr H. W. Grey.
