Repeat N.Z. success (N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY. The New Zealander, G. Lawrence, fresh from driving in the Can-Am series, will try to give New Zealand its second successive win in the Australian grand prix at Warwick Farm, on Sunday. Last year, the race was won by C. However, the Australian contingent is very strong, and with the Formula 5000 cars racing in the event for the first time, the grand prix promises to be an exciting spectacle, as well as a valuable curtain-raiser for the Tasman Cup, starting in about six ! weeks. The leading Australian entries in 5-litre cars are K. Bartlett, F. Matich and N Allen. The 1970 Gold Star champion, L. Geoghegan, will drive a twin-cam Lotus 59. Other prominent drivers include M. Stewart and R. Muir (both Mildren-Waggott), G. Cooper and J. McCormack (both Elfin 6008 Repco). Another New Zealander, P. Fahey, will also race at Warwick Farm on Sunday. He will drive his Ford Escort with a new B.V.A. 1600 c.c. engine in the touring car race.
