' In a reversal of last week’s I result, University A decisively beat University Vietnamese to in the Kermedeidis Cup vollayball competition for the second year in University A failed to settle down in the first set and some good smashing and strong defence by the Vietnamese team ?ave. them a good win. They ollowed this with a lead of 7-3 in the second set but suddenly University A found its good form and took the next 27 points for the loss of only two. The roles were reversed, with University A unchecked in serving and spiking, although the players would not attack in full strength for fear of mistakes. University Vietnamese were-in-timidated by the run of points; against them and their blocking and spiking broke down in the: same way as did University A*S in the first set. - The fourth, and deciding, set was tense but University A i applied steady pressure to take! it. and win the match, 8-15, 15-7.! 115-2, 15-11. i In the national inter-club ■ volleyball championships in Wei-! lington this week. University ,Is' the only Christchurch club to< enter teams. One women’s and two men’s teams will play ini the A grades.
