Succession wish
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The Deputy Prime Minister (Mr Marshall) in an interview published today, said he wished to succeed Sir Keith Holyoake as Prime Minister if and when the latter retired. » The interview appeared in the “Weekly News," which went on sale in Wellington today. Members of Mr Marshall’s Parliamentary staff confirmed today that it was the first time Mr Marshall had made public his wish to succeed Sir Keith Holyoake.
