Sittings of Court

Mr Justice Macarthur will be presiding at the sittings of the Supreme Court in Christchurch continuously from now until the Christmas vacation. The circuit sittings at Nelson and Blenheim will be attended to by a judge from Wellington. Mr Justice Perry will preside at the Greymouth sittings on November 17, and if circumstances permit he will sit in Christchurch during the following week. Mr Justice Roper will take cases in Christchurch for one week commencing on December 7. Mr Justice Wilson will sit in Auckland from now until the end of November and will then go on leave for four ; months. He expects to reisume his normal duties in Christchurch on April 1 next. It is planned that Mr Justice Macarthur will then be released from Supreme Court work for several months so that he may concentrate on the work of the Special Companies Act Committee, of which he is chairman.
