RADIATA TIMBER
i Another sale to U.K. I; i (N.Z. Press Association) 1 ROTORUA, Oct. 15. A New Zealand timber con-' sortium has negotiated a third major sale of radiata timber to the United Kingdom. The third shipment will be produced to metric sizes and sold on metric measurements because of Britain’s change to the metric system. A charter has been arranged for next March, when a ship will load seven mililon board feet of timber, worth $500,000, at Mount Maunganui. The consortium—Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, Ltd, N.Z. Forest Products, the New Zealand Forest Service, Fletcher Timber Company, and Ellis and Bumand —is at present assembling its second shipment for loading on board the Cape York at Mount Maunganui next month. Mr K. 'A. Civil, executive director of the Fletcher Company, said today that a fourth charter had been arranged, possibly for May or June next year.
