TOUR ON

(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. The South African Rugby Union tour of Australia next year will definitely go ahead as scheduled. The Australian Rugby Union yesterday recorded a unanimous vote in favour of the tour. The five other States followed the lead given by New South Wales on Monday night and decided to accept the South Africans. The N.S.W. Rugby Union had five votes yesterday, Queensland two, and Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania, one each. The vote was taken after anti-apartheid demonstrators had earlier smashed windows and glass doors at the N.S.W. Rugby Union club in Crane Place, Sydney, the scene of the A.R.U. meeting.
