Danish ships to carry fruit
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. The Apple and Pear Marketing Board today signed a contract with the Danish shipping firm of J. Lauritzen for the cartage of New Zealand’s fruit exports. The contract calls for the firm to carry 1.8 million cartons of fruit a year for three years, to British Continental and Scandinavian ports. Previously, fruit was carried by the British Conference Lines.
