No pennant yachting
Strong winds forced the postponement of the first heats of the Estuary Pennant yachting series which were to have been sailed yesterday. Gusts of about 50 miles an hour were recorded quite regularly on the wind gauge at the Mount Pleasant club early in the afternoon, and the decision to call off the events was made 30min before the scheduled starting time. No date has yet been fixed for the sailing of the first heats.
