Christchurch Drainage Board WORKING FARM MANAGER THE BOARD intends to establish a farm in conjunction with disposal of digested sludge on land adjacent to its sewage treatment works in Bromley, Christchurch. A working farm manager is required to carry out general farming operations relating to both stock and agricultural crops, in co-operation with other drainage board staff and the farm management advisory service of Lincoln College. This is an interesting job and it would suit a man in the 30 to 50 age group who is active and able to deal with management matters whilst being prepared to work himself and to take an interest in the developing programme envisaged. A man of above average abilities is required and therefore this appointment will be to the board’s permanent staff and on a salary scale suited to the applicants abilities.
