New coaches for tours
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The new type of Railways Department road coach dis' played in Ashburton recently will not be used on specific routes, but on tour work, said the Minister of Railways (Mr Gordon), in answer to a question in Parliament today by Mr C. C. A McLachlan (Nat., Ashburton). Answering further questions, Mr Gordon said that coaches of this type would not work with the Southerner, which would be served by replacement standard buses.
