MUSIC FESTIVAL AT LINCOLN
Choirs from the schools of Greenpark, Halswell, Hornby South, Lincoln, Prebbleton, Rolleston, Springston and Tai Tapu combined to present once again an enjoyable performance of massed singing, individual choir, and instrumental group items. A varied programme was provided for the appreciative audience of more than 600 parents and friends. Much of the credit for the massed singing must go to the musical director, Mr I. Cummins, and his accompanist, Mrs Cummins, and the children showed, in their efforts, an appreciation of, and enjoyment in music both serious and light. Particularly pleasing was the tonal quality of their singing. Individual school items, too, were of a very good standard, both on the instrumental side and in choir work.
