When cold this pudding I is sliced and fried. Its I advantages are that it is'; filling and economical. ' This recipe makes enough I fpr four persons.' You will need: 2 cups fine oatmeal I 1 cup finely chopped ; suet 1 large onion Pepper and salt Method: Chop onion ' finely, or grate and mix ! with oatmeal and suet I without any liquid; sea- ; son with pepper and salt. ; Arrange in a sausage ' shape in a cloth and boil I for half an hour, dropping ! into pan of boiling water. : When cold, slice and fry ; brown in hot fat.
