<N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept 6. Cabinet has given its views on the basic-scale salary claim for primary school teachers. A spokesman for the New Zealand Educational Institute, Mr G. A. Francis, said that the chairman of the education service committee bad met institute representatives today and informed them of Cabinet's attitude. The institute officials also met the Minister of Education and asked him to arrange a meeting with the Prime Minister as soon as possible.
A further meeting between the institute and the education service committee has been arranged for tomorrow afternoon.
