Meetings Of Creditors
Damage claims resulting from a motor accident, loss of working time because of accident injuries, and a low income were the reasons for bankruptcy given by Wayne Howard Gardiner, aged 20. at a creditors’ meeting before the Deputy Official Assignee (Mr L. Anderson). Gardiner, a married man > with one child, showed on his statement of affairs debts of $1079.59 and no assets. The quorum of creditors at the meeting authorised the; Official Assignee to sell by private treaty.
Deficiency of $4777 In a meeting of creditors before the Official Assignee i (Mr J. B. K. Curran), a total ! deficiency of $4777 was shown by Walter Richard Pym, of; 142 Kilmore Street, a coffee-! house proprietor. Pym’s statement of affairs! showed unsecured creditors! amounting to $2871.10, and secured creditors totalling 53906 who had as security goods and chattels valued at $2OOO. There were no other! assets, leaving a total deficiency of $4777. Pym gave as his reasons for bankruptcy his debts when he went into business in the! Spotlight Coffee House, Kilmore Street, insufficient; capital, insufficient business.| and pressure from creditors No resolution was passed, although there was a quorum of creditors.
