Second Win For Moir “The Press 11 Special Service DUNEDIN. The former Riccarton jockey, R. K. Moir, who recently took out a trainer’s licence to manage the home team of R. Heasley, at present campaigning two horses in Australia, saddled his second winner when Beau Beaven led all the way for a decisive win in the Tally-Ho Handicap at Wingatui on Saturday.
Beau Bevan is raced by Mr S. Clayton, of Dunedin, and was ridden by D. R. Sanderson.
The favourite, Watallan, had an excellent run behind Beau Bevan, but when E. J. Didham pulled him out to challenge near the furlong he made no impression. The veteran. Superspan, was third in a gap of five lengths. The top-weight Cassarook was three lengths back fourth.
