N.C.C. Executive Officers
The Dean of Wellington (the Very Rev. W. E. W. Hurst) was re-elected president of the National Council of Churches at the council’s annual meeting in Christchurch.
The minister of the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church in Christchurch (the Rev. A. H. MacLeod) was elected vice-presi-dent.
Members elected to the executive committee were: the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt), the Ven. W. M. Davies (Anglican), the Revs P. Kennett (Congregational), L. Jones (Presbyterian), W. R, Laws (Methodist), A. A. Grundy (Methodist), Lieutenant-Colonel T. McKenzie (Salvation Army), Messrs D. S. Studholme (Anglican), L. Scott (Associated Churches of Christ), and Mesdames M. Morrison (Society of Friends) and E. Mangin (Presbyterian); treasurer, Mr J. A. McAlister.
