Barltrop Third In Sabre
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. D. Barltrop (Riccarton High School) gained third place in the boys’ sabre final and deprived Auckland of a clean sweep of the major placings in the 1970 national secondary school fencing championships, held at Avondale College over the week-end. Canterbury was runner-up in the teams events. Results:— FOILS Teams.—Boys' final: Auckland A 5, Auckland B 1. Girls* final; Auckland A 5, Auckland B 4.
