New Zealand put. up a stern fight against a strong Australia under 23 team in the interstate series of the Australian squash championships, but the Australians won, 2-9-113 to 2-7-94. The rubbers even at 2-all, the deciding factor in the Australian win was the straightset victory of W. Reedman (NewSouth Wales) over the New Zea land champion, D. Burmeister. Redman won, 9-1, 9-2, 9-3.
