Santos Fight In Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association? WELLINGTON. Joe Santos, the 21-year-old brother of the former Empire light-weight boxing champion, Manoel Santos, will be brought from Australia to fight the New Zealand Jightweight champion, Rex Redden (Wellington), in a nontitle bout in the ballroom of Auckland’s Intercontinental Hotel on September 21. This will be a new-style promotion for boxing in New Zealand. Patrons will be limited to 300 and a buffet meal will be served after the fights in a club-style atmosphere that has proved highly popular in Britain and Austyaiia.
