SPIN-DRYER FIRE
Fire severely damaged an electric spin-dryer and caused slight damage to a room of a house at 95 Osborne Street about 5.40 p.m. yesterday. Firemen from Woolston and headquarters stations answered the call.
The occupier, Mr T. O’Brien, using a garden hose and after having turned off the electricity, put the fire out before the firemen arrived.
