Avonhead School
Sir, —The situation was not “fully covered” in Mr Rich’s earlier reply to me. He told us at length what we already knew, but chose to ignore my question as an answer, he said, “would not be appropriate.” I suggest the words, “would be embarrassing to the council,” be substituted. I again pose my question on council policy. Why does the council now seek an extension to the urban area in this location when it was instrumental in blocking the intermediate school last year on the grounds that the urban fence should not be shifted? —Yours, etc., ARTIE. August 20, 1970.
[The Waimairi County Chairman (Mr D. B. Rich) replies: “As already indicated to a previous correspondent, I have no further comment to make on this or any other correspondent’s interpretation of the situation."]
