Strong N.I. Challenge
Seven North Island teams will provide strong competition to Canterbury and Mid-Canterbury sides in the New Zealand secondary schools soccer tournament to be held in Christchurch next week.
The 14 competing schools have been divided into two sections, in which they will play on a round-robin basis, and the two leading teams will meet in the final on Friday. The runners* up will play for third and fourth places. The draw for the first day, on Monday, all matches to be played at Hillmorton, is: Section A: Christchurch B.H.S. v. Wellington College (9.45 a.m.), Auckland Grammar v. Cashmere H.S. (11.15); Hillmorton H.S. v. Gisborne B.H.S. <9.45): Christ* church v. Gisborne (1 p.m.); Hillmorton v. Wellington (100); Auckland Grammar v. Ashburton College (2.45). Section B: Linwood H.S. v Mount Roskill (9.45); Mount Albert v. Tawa College (11.15); Shirley B.H.S. v. Hamilton B.H.S. (11.15); Mount Albert v. Mount Roskill (1.00); Shirley v. Tawa (2.45): Riccarton H.S. v. Hamilton (2.45).
