A , .» . a. A tribute | to the ’ first... On August 25th, 1920, Cook Strait was crossed by air for the first time. Flying Kf ; an Avro 504 K aircraft of the Canterbury (N.Z.) Aviation Co. Ltd., the pilot Captain Euan Dickson, was accompanied by Messrs C. H. Hewlett and J, E. Moore. The Chairman and members of the Commemoration Committee express their grateful appreciation to the many people, representing organisations, business houses, clubs and other interests, for their unsparing time and effort to ensure that the 50th Anniversary of the First Air Crossing of Cook Strait is commemorated in a suitable manner, and particularly so to those listed below, many of whom have had direct associations with the Canterbury (N.Z.)
