Promise Sold
When Promise competes in the Queen Mary Handicap at Addington Raceway tonight he will be running in the interests of Mr B. McArdle, of Melbourne. The eight-year-old Final Say gelding has been bought oh behalf of Mr McArdle by J. L. Schwamm. Tonight’s race will be Promise’s last in New Zealand. Early next week he, along with Timothy, Highland Mecca, Bonny Frost and Chief Command. will leave for Auckland on the first stage of a journey to the United States. Promise and his travelling companions will be part of a full load of horses which will be flown out of Auckland for America next Thursday.
