Canterbury Snow Reports
Snow reports received from the Canterbury Ski-ing Association are:—
Mt Olympus.—Two light snowfalls during week; conditions good; skiable level 4600 ft; tows operating; Windwhistle club races Saturday and veteran’s race Sunday; road open to Avalanche Alley.
Cratlflleburn Valley.—Adequate snow; all tows operating. Fox Peak.—Same as last week; firm snow down to 4000 ft; three tows operating; chains advisable on road.
Broken Riven —Less snow than last week-end; skiable level 4900 ft; tows operating; road open to hut; chains not required. Amur!.—Tows will not be
operating unless more snow falls. Porter Heights.—Similar conditions to last week; high and main tows operating; chains not required on roads. Coronet Peak.—Light snow fall Tuesday; ski-ing cdnditions hard on middle portion of mountain; excellent ski-ing Poma Basin, Greengates, Million Dollar runs; road clear and all facilities operating. Lake Ohau.—Complete snow coverage and all tows operating; light fall Wednesday; conditions excellent; access road clear.
Temple Basin.—Light fall of snow during week; Temple and Downhill tows operating; good ski-ing conditions; goods lift operating.
