HOLY HAL BACK IN WORK
“The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. Holy Hal is back in work with his part owner, D. Keenan, at Edendale, and after a few weeks jogging will join D. Todd’s Mataura team. Immediate plans for the Hal Tryax horse are indefinite. It is not intended to prepare him for the next New Zealand Cup, a race in which he was promoted to second behind Spry last year, and it is also unlikely that be will tackle the Auckland Cup, a race in which he was runner-up to Leading Light 12 months ago. “At this stage the plan is to concentrate on the InterDominion Championship series at Addington in February and his racing before band is likely to be confined to invitation races,” Mr Kee nan said yesterday.
