Big Demand For Stamps
The chairman of the Christchurch district committee organising the 1970 health stamp campaign (Mr A. A. Anderson) said yesterday that sales of health stamps today would be worth $12,734 In businesses alone. The two denominations of stamps depicting netball and soccer will be on sale throughout New Zealand today and will be available until October. Advanced sales of the stamps to schools in Christchurch have amounted to $879 and to country schools $l5B. Many country school purchases are not included in these figures because orders are obtained through the Post Office not the campaign machine.
