Blades Plastics Blades Plastics, Ltd, a joint venture by Ivon Watkins-Dow, Ltd, of New Plymouth and Alex Harvey Industries, Ltd, of Auckland, has been formed by the sale by I.W.D of the assets and undertaking of Blades Chemicals, Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary. Borg-Warner The, net profit of BorgWarner (Australia), Ltd, almost doubled to $1,067,018, in the half year to June 30. The interim dividend has been increased from 4 to 5 per eent The profit was after twice as much tax and slightly higher depreciation. The directors say that turnover of the seven divisions of the company exceeds that for the same period in the previous year, and that they expect strong growth in all areas. Minster In Black Minster, Ltd, earned a net profit of $53,389 in the year to June 30 compared with a loss of $199,107 the previous year, according to a preliminary report. The directors say they anticipate a reasonable profit for this year and expect resumption of dividend payments. The latest result was after taxation of $51,115 (previously $75,429) and depreciation of $304,830 ($299,770).
