6 Contracts Bought (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) BOSTON. Six of the world’s leading tennis players—including R. Laver—have changed professional camps, Associated Press reported. World Championship Tennis, Inc., the major group in the United States, announced yesterday the purchase of contracts of the six, whoi were previously signed to the National Tennis League. World Championship Tennis, which already had 18 players under contract, including the Wimbledon cbam-1 pion, J .D. Newcombe, said it I had purchased the contracts; of Laver, K. R. Rosewall, F. S. Stolle, R. A. Emerson, A. Gimeno and R. Gonzales. The 1 price was not disclosed. The two groups have been 1 touring the United States, with players from each competing together in various ' tournaments. Laver is the 1 leading money-winner on the tour so far this year, with earnings of SUSII3,OOO.
Calls Win.—The Town Colt* beat the Canterbury under 20 team. 13-11, in a Rugby match at Malvern Park yesterday. Hole-In-One R. Newton, of the Rangiora club, scored a hole-in-one at the 140 yd tenth at Amberley. He used an 8-iron.
Cricketer Signs.—N. G. Hawke, the former Australian test allrounder, has agreed to terms with East Lancashire, a member of the Lancashire Cricket League for a two-year contract.'
