Aldersgate Friends

In spite of numerous recommendations by the National Development Conference about the need for marketing education, little had been done to improve the situation, Professor G. Fogelberg, head of business administration at Victoria University, toM the Department of Industries and Commerce export marketing conference in Christchurch yesterday.

Professor Fogelberg said there were some large gaps in the total programme of marketing education now available in New Zealand. In particular, there was an almost complete absence of courses which covered in depth the various elements of this study. Serious consideration should be given to the establishment of a master's degree in business administration at a New Zealand university, Professor. Fogelberg said; he submitted that the obvious location for this programme was Victoria University.

A friends of Aldersgate scheme has been established to enable friends of Aldersgate, the Methodist centre in Durham Street, to support and extend the work of the centre as a community service by gifts, grants and legacies. Funds will be used for maintenance and additions to equipment, subscriptions to periodicals and book purchases, the provision of additional furnishings and the provision bf unobtrusive charttable help as necessary. Any money given to the scheme will not be used for normal church purposes.
