Winning Play

WELLINGTON, July 26 “Edward’s House,” a play produced by the Wharerangi Country Women’s Institute from Northern Hawke's Bay, won the C.W.I. drama festival in Wellington. The play, written oy the Waipawa playwright, Miriam Macgregor, was ohe of two national finalists. The other was “The Cage,” by Muriel Ferris, produced by the Waikari C.W.I. from North Canterbury. The judge for the final was Mr D. Tinkham.
