Some cooking and aalad vegetable, were dearer at the Christchurch produce market, yesterday. Supply of produce and the demand were good. Cabbages sold at up to $1.50 a case. Cases of onions were SO cents dearer and fetched up to $4.30. Sprouts cost 40 cents more, selling at up to $3.40 a case. White turnips, however, were 10 cents cheaper and sold at up to 50 cents a case. Spinach which fetched up to $l.BO a case, 20 cents less, was also cheaper. Cases of lettuce cost 20 cents more and sold at up to $1.40. Tamarlllos and Chinese {ooseberries were 80 cents and 1 cheaper, costing up to 83 a case.
