Spreydon Hire Likely After the defeat of its closest rival, R.S.A., Spreydon W.M.C. now appears certain to win the Canterbury Billiards Association’s A grade competition. Two rounds remain. Spreydon has 40 points, six more than R.S.A. In third place is Post Office, with 31 points. In the sixteenth round last week, Spreydon took maximum points against Christchurch W.M.C. and R.S.A. went down 2-1 to Woolston W.M.C. I. The best game in the latter match was between K. Murphy (Woolston) and R. O’Callaghan. Murphy led by more 100 points at one stage, but O’Callaghan fought back to reach 198 before Murphy played a delightful losing hazard off the red to bring up his 200.
