TRAVEL AWARD
t Presentation ; At Meeting > A travel award comprising return air travel to Sydney - and $2OO expenses was last ■ evening presented to Mr J. '■ Blackwell, the South Island manager of Collins, publish- ' ers, at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Sales and Marketing Executives’ Club. The award is promoted by the Sales and Marketing Executives' Clubs of Canterbury and Otago, in conjunction with Air New Zealand and the South Island Publicity Association. The aim of the award is to give a marketing executive the opportunity of travelling overseas to study marketing techniques; the winner is also expected to attend the Australian Institute of Management conference in Canberra, and on his return he must submit a report on the conference and address elub meetings. Mr Blackwell told the meeting that in Sydney he intended to study the marketing of books. Officers elected were: President, Mr D. Stewart; vicepresidents, Messrs M. Maiur, J.' Runclman and M. Manhire; directors, Messrs J. Blackwell, B. Osborne, T. Downey, B. Corrick, D. Graham and L. G. Miers; treasurer, Mr M. Mather; secretary, Mr R. K. Skellerup.
