Yearlings Selected For 1971 Sales

Three days of intensive work by the selection committee ended on Friday in : one of the best catalogues for I the 1971 National Yearling Sale on January 26 and 27. further SO emergencies were selected to take the place* of those among the 460 which will inevitably drop out between now and tale time.

I This is the second year in i which the catalogue has been wholly selected. The panel was larger by two members (than that of last year. The two extra members were Messrs D. Clarkson, of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd, 'and J. McEwen, of Wright, Stephenson. They joined the 'original five who were Mr |W. Ormond, president of the N.Z. Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, and four representatives of Wright, Stephenson—Miss P. O'Brien and ! Messrs Floyd, W. Paterson, and P. Kelly.
