Royal Avenue Arrives
“The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. Royal Avenue, which will stand at T. H. Knowles's Centennial Stud at Te Rapa, arrived in Wellington on Wednesday. Royal Avenue commenced stud duties in Ireland in 1966 and of his eight runners seven have been successful. Royal Avenue won six races from five furlongs to a mile and a half for total earnings of $57,764. He is by Royal Palm from Wayfarer. Royal Palm, by Royal Charger has been a prolific sire of winners and a leading two-year-old sire in England.
