Tourney Team
Canterbury will be represented in the annual Don Adams men’s basketball tournament, to be held in Ashburton today, in spite of earlier indications that it would miss the contest A team of nine has been chosen from the B grade club competition, and will be matched against the Rangiora A grade team, and the South Canterbury and Mid-Canter-bury representative teams. Rangiora, because of its A grade status, will not be eligible for the trophy. The Canterbury B grade team is: B. Milligan (Old Boys), G. N. Davey, A. Wood (Taxes), D. Verey (Rex), V. Bulllvant, R. Moore, M. Habertield (Checkers), D. Shipley, A. Johnston (Y.M.C.A.). It will play all three of its matches on Saturday afternoon.
