Edgeware Road Traffic
Sir,—Having seen, almost every week-end, a car crash of minor or more serious consequences at the corner of Edgeware and Springfield Roads, I am wondering if the City Council is going to wait until there is a fatal accident before taking the necessary steps to make this corner safe. Many motorists just ignore the “Give Way” signs Surely the time has come to make this dangerous corner a compulsory stop.—Yours, etc..
LOCAL RESIDENT. July 6, 1970. [The City Engineer (Mr P. G. Scoular) replies: “The form of traffic control at the intersection of Edgeware Road, Springfield Road, and Abberley Crescent is currently under investigation.”]
