C.O.R.S.O.. MONEY

If the downward trend in giving to C.0.R.5.0. continued for the rest of the year, the organisation would fall short of its target by about $BO,OOO, said the district organiser for C.0.R.5.0. (Mr R. H. French) yesterday. Mr French said that so far this year $433,224 had been given to C.0.R.5.0. throughout New Zealand, $64,665 less than the amount received at the same time last year. The regional total for the Canterbury, Westland, and Buller area was $75,765, almost $5OOO less than last year.

Mr French said that the drop had occurred mainly in the rural areas Of the amount collected this year in the appeal, $38,204 was given in the Christchurch metropolitan area, $19,384 in the Canterbury provincial area, and $4760 bn the West Coast
