PLOUGHING TITLES
Good Conditions Forecast (N Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, July 15. Although heavy rain has fallen at Momona, conditions for the 1970 Atlantic Silver Plough championships should be perfect, the secretary of the Taieri Ploughing Match Association (Mr J. Miller) said today. The championship will begin on Friday. Before today’s rain conditions for ploughing had been too dry, Mr Miller said. Unless there was an excess of rain in the next two days, the conditions should be ideal. The contest will be held at the property of Mr J. I Nichol, of Momona.
