New Church Planned
(N.Z Press Association) HAMILTON, July 15. Committee officials of Saint Stephen’s Anglican Church at Tamahere envisage a $20,000 building to replace the church razed last month. Work on the new church premises will go ahead subject to the jurisdiction of the Cambridge vestry and permission being received from the Bishop. Mr A. Main, a church warden and committee member, said today his committee had $14,000 in hand to carry out the work, but additional finance would have to be raised to furnish the new building.
