(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, July 7. The Christchurch campaign to stage the 1974 Commonwealth Games came to an abrupt but brief halt today. The projector on which the Christchurch delegation had been showing a promotion film to visitors at their hotel suite, broke down. What was embarrassing for the New Zealanders was that in their suite at the time were several Australian Games officials who are promoting Melbourne for the Games. The Christchurch party was making arrangements tonight to rent another projector.
