Obituary MR H. H. FISHER
Mr Henry Harrison Fisher, a third-generation member ofthe Christchurch art dealers firm, H. Fisher and Company, Ltd. died in Christchurch yesterday, aged 79. Mr Fisher joined the firm, which was started by his grandfather in 1870, after he left Christchurch West High School, and remained there? except for war service, until his retirement in 1955. Mr Fisher went overseas! with the Ist N.Z.E.F. in 1914,) and served at Gallipoli, Egypt and France before spending! some time in an English hos-| pital. He returned in 1918 as) a captain, and was a captain; in the Home Guard during; World War 11.
Mr Fisher was a foundation member of the scouting movement in Canterbury and was a past master of the Masonic Lodge. He had a keen interest in hockey when at school.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
Marching Team Overseas.— “The Press” has received a postcard from one of the New Zealand marching team at present on a world tour. From Hawaii, Miss J. Chapman asked that the team’s gratitude to be given to those persons in Christchurch who supported the team’s fundraising drive for the tour.
